Wisty vs Builder Central
Builder Central is Salesforce's no-code builder for admins, in beta. It changes your org: it builds the objects, flows and agents behind an app and deploys them through a sandbox. Wisty builds apps for you and your team on top of your org as it is, in minutes. Here's how they differ.
Wisty
Builds from metadata. Apps query data at runtime.
Builder Central
Runs in your tenant. Record access not stated.
Wisty
Every read and write runs as the signed-in viewer.
Builder Central
Builds standard setup. Your permissions apply.
Wisty
Records only. Can't change Salesforce metadata.
Builder Central
Builds org configuration. Deploys through a sandbox.
Wisty
Full CRUD. Forms, inline edits, bulk updates.
Builder Central
Builds objects, flows and pages that edit records.
Wisty
Build in Lightning. Use as a tab, link, or on a record page.
Builder Central
Built in Salesforce, released through a sandbox.
Wisty
Identity comes from Salesforce. No seats and no setup.
Builder Central
Part of Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited.
Wisty
Your org only. Apps can't call other services.
Builder Central
Through integrations you set up in Salesforce.
How they differ
Builder Central and Wisty both turn a plain-language request into something your team can use, but they build different layers. Builder Central changes your org. It creates the objects, flows and permission sets behind an app or an agent, checks them against the org, and deploys them through a sandbox on the way to production. That's platform work, and it belongs in your release process.
Wisty leaves your org as it is, and that's the point. It builds the app on the objects and fields you already have and publishes it in one step, as a tab, a record-page component or a link. A Wisty app can't change your data model, Apex or Flows, and it runs with each viewer's own Salesforce permissions, so it can never do more than its user already could. That's why you can let more of your team build, with zero risk to the setup your org runs on.
The two work fine side by side: Builder Central adds the object, and Wisty builds the apps your team works in on top of it.
The short answer
Choose Builder Central if
- The request needs a new object, field or flow.
- You want an agent built and deployed in your org.
- Your rule is that no third-party tool touches Salesforce data.
Choose Wisty if
- The request is an app on data you already have.
- It should reach your team in one publish, not a release.
- Your data model, Apex and Flows should stay as they are.
