How they differ

Surfaces and Wisty both turn a plain-language request into something visual, but they make different things. Surfaces makes a report. Slackbot queries Salesforce, hands the records to a builder that writes them into the file, and the result stays in Slack as a snapshot of what the author could see when it was made.

Wisty makes an app. It builds from your org's metadata, never your records, and the published app reads live data inside Salesforce as whoever opens it. People can update records from it, and it keeps working after today's numbers change.

The short answer

Choose Slackforce Surfaces if

  • You want a quick report or recap from a Slack conversation.
  • It should pull in data from tools other than Salesforce.
  • A snapshot is enough, and your team already lives in Slack.

Choose Wisty if

  • Your team needs an app it keeps using, on live Salesforce data.
  • People should update records from the app, not just read them.
  • It should open inside Salesforce, with each person's own access.
